A few things to know.

Does my event need a date?

No. Create your event before you know the date. No location or tickets needed.

Will my event appear in Explore?

Events start unlisted: anyone with the link can view and subscribe. Turn on Make discoverable to appear in Explore. Unlisted does not mean private or password protected.

Who sends the update, and can I change it?

You send it manually: up to 500 characters and an optional HTTPS link. Preview and confirm before sending. That completes the event; the update stays on its public page and can’t be edited or sent again. TellMeFirst doesn’t monitor websites.

How does the free upgrade work?

Each account gets one full event upgrade, with no card or expiry. Use it at creation or later while the event is open. Later upgrades cost €7 per event, plus applicable VAT, through Stripe. Deleting or transferring the event doesn’t restore the offer.

Do I or my subscribers need an account?

Creators need an account; subscribers don’t. Save to Wallet without a name, email or separate TellMeFirst app. Email subscribers confirm through a link in their inbox.

How do Wallet notifications work?

Keep notifications enabled for your saved pass. On a computer, scan the QR code with your phone. Read updates in the pass; on iPhone, use ⋯ → Pass Details for the full message and links. Alerts depend on your device and settings and may be delayed.

Do you send updates through chats or SMS?

You can share your link in chats. Updates arrive through Wallet, or email with an upgrade. The illustrated chat, SMS and phone services aren’t delivery channels.

Can creators see who subscribed?

No. Creators see counts, not names or email addresses, and cannot export a subscriber list. Each subscription is for one event, never a marketing list.

Can I stop following an event?

Yes. Before the final update, use the cancellation link in your confirmation email. For Wallet, remove the pass or turn off its notifications.
